On May 26th it was opened operations in São Tomé base, with a large aircraft fleet. In the first month of activities the new base has a fleet of eight (8) aircraft, increasing the number to ten (10) at the beginning of July.
To carry out these operations there was a great planning and many efforts of teams. The base consists of a Petrobras owned heliport and is located in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes - 294 km away from Rio de Janeiro - and aims to meet the air transport of passengers to the drilling rigs and production company. It also has hangar services and rooms for administrative support, flight coordination and materials.
Between June 2012 and November 2013, Omni Taxi Aereo had the opportunity to work at the base with medium and large aircraft. This year, the operation returns to São Tomé, but unlike the first time, now the company operates with total exclusivity, being the only company providing air taxi service at the base.
Throughout the first half, the company carried out a restructuring with the hiring of new employees and internal transfers of staff to all the necessary support in the performed activities.
